Slate Retail REIT Announces The Purchase Of Mooresville Town Square In North Carolina

Toronto, ON (Marketwired) - Slate Retail REIT (TSX: SRT.U) (TSX: SRT.UN) (the "REIT"), an owner and operator of U.S. grocery-anchored real estate, announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Mooresville Town Square, an 88% occupied Lowes Foods-anchored centre, in the Charlotte, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. This is the REIT's sixth property in North Carolina.

The property will be acquired for U.S. $16.7 million (U.S. $186 per square foot). Closing is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.
