In 1987 ELT was incorporated after operating several years as a service bureau, providing bar-code shelf labels to the retail grocery store industry. That same year ELT introduced it's first major product, LabelMaster®, a software system that revolutionized the in-store printing of shelf labels and store signs.

ELT has expanded its technology beyond the retail industry and now offers its advanced, innovative label and sign products to the following industries:

• Industrial compliance label printing and software technology for chemical, petroleum and other industries involved with production or handling of hazardous or environmentally-sensitive materials.
  
• Horticulture and nursery industry with an integrated software and label printing system for tags, labels and signs in addition to all types of inventory and customer reports.
