Kwikee Endorsed As Preferred Product Image Solution Provider

Peoria, IL - Kwikee® Systems, a division of MultiAd Services, Inc., has been designated as the preferred vendor of product image development and management for manufacturers supplying products to Associated Grocers, Inc., Associated Food Stores, Winn Dixie, Coborn's, Associated Wholesale Grocers and The Kroger Company.

These leading grocery retailers and wholesalers have incorporated the services of Kwikee in all local advertising production efforts nationwide. Kwikee's new digital asset management tool, Kwikee® Local Server (KLS), will allow them to efficiently index and retrieve their proprietary digital assets (including store brand and food photography shots) plus all product images from Kwikee's participating (national-brand) manufacturers. New and updated product images will be sent to each of these retailers' local servers on a nightly basis, ensuring access to up-to-date images.

These stores now require that manufacturers participate in Kwikee to provide consistency in the look and message of their advertising efforts, eliminate redundant efforts in multiple locations and increase automation of print advertising production.

Historically, images of the same products were often independently produced in multiple offices around the country. "When I was presented with the challenge of researching, finding and implementing an asset management program, Kwikee Local Server provided instant relief from some of the common obstacles faced on several occasions," commented Russ Van Leer, Digital Library System Administrator, Associated Food Stores. "KLS has greatly increased our efficiency."

Van Leer also added the overall Kwikee solution, combining 80,000 product images inside a digital asset management system updated daily and combined with an ad layout software tool, MultiAd Creator, is "as close to an automated page layout as you can get without jeopardizing the integrity of the ad."

Kwikee Local Server is also utilized by some of the industry's largest printers and pre-press houses, including Vertis, Southeast Color Inc., VIP, Tatham Associates and The Watkins Company.
