Forecasting Module is unique in its ability to project daily customer traffic patterns in accurate 15-minute intervals up to five weeks in advance by using sales data from your store's POS. Proper labor requirements will be determined based on standard (customer, items, sales and user-defined forecast drivers) along with engineered labor standards.
- The Labor Forecasting Model uses three years of customers, items, sales and userdefined drivers for more accurate forecasting. The Model can be installed with a minimum of six weeks of interval data, however, the following is highly recommended:
-
- two years of pre-history sales data per
department (yearly totals)
- one to three years of daily sales data per department (daily totals)**
- minimum six weeks of current interval data per department (interval totals)*
- Model forecasts based on customers, items, and sales drivers (by department and total store) to staff frontend departments. Model forecasts based on user-definable drivers to staff back-end departments-these drivers can vary by department.
- Multiple tasks can be combined (fixed tasks) to generate labor requirements. Resulting requirements can either be combined with variable requirements or remain independent for scheduling purposes.
- Model adjusts automatically for seasonal, holiday, and cyclical changes in traffic patterns.
- Model uses forward forecasting which allows managers to plan for changing labor needs.*
- Engineered labor standards/exception hours can be defined for each job function, including hourly standards for customers, items, sales and user-defined commodities.
- Eight years of holiday and special event data can be saved and retrieved for more accurate trend analysis of staffing needs.**
- Users have the ability to override forecasted information. LRM provides several options for adjusting forecast projections.
