The grocery store's legacy began many years ago with some beautiful lush strawberries, a fruit market, and the determination and brilliant marketing skills of the late Nino Salvaggio. On a gorgeous spring day, Nino purchased a total of 500 cases of the delicious strawberries offered to him… more than he had ever purchased before. He artfully designed hand-painted signs and arranged the display beautifully. By the end of the day, word had spread and all of the strawberries were sold.
