Roche Bros. To Deploy Retalix Price Management Software Chain-Wide

Retalix a global provider of software solutions for retailers and distributors, announced recently that Roche Bros. Supermarkets, Inc., an 18-store regional grocer based in Wellesley Hills, Mass., has selected Retalix HQ/Store to replace its legacy pricing and store back office systems.

Retalix HQ is a centralized, rules-based pricing and inventory management solution. It helps grocers control authorized items, costs and prices, and standardizes a company's pricing best-practice disciplines for consistent execution of its price strategy. With nearly 100 grocery clients representing more than 5,000 stores, Retalix HQ is widely considered the industry leader in price management.

The integrated solution suite also includes Retalix Store for operational in-store functions such as DSD receiving, pricing, inventory, POS sales and movement data, signs and labels, simple ordering and other store-level tasks. Roche Bros. will use additional Retalix HQ modules including Category Analyzer for item/profit movement analysis and Bill Back Manager for capturing earned promotional dollars from suppliers.

"When we decided to improve our pricing execution and adopt a rules-based pricing system, we wanted a retail technology partner that truly understands our business," said Edward Roche, chairman and president of Roche Bros. "Retalix has proven, widely used expertise in price management within the grocery industry, and can help us build a foundation for the future."

"Retalix HQ will allow Roche Bros. to execute their pricing strategy consistently while ensuring price integrity throughout their stores," said Ray Carlin, executive vice president, Retalix USA. "Better pricing disciplines and execution leads to a superior customer shopping experience and helps improve margins."

The Roche Bros. implementation is expected to be fully rolled out this year.
