Save Mart Supermarkets Launches New Store In Modesto
Save Mart Supermarkets, a supermarket chain has launched first limited selection grocery store, Maxx Value Foods, on Paradise Road in Modesto, California.
"This launch is a major event for our company," said Steve Junqueiro, president and COO of Save Mart Supermarkets. "We continuously strive to remain relevant to our customers, and this new store format is an innovate response to the needs of shoppers who look for quality and value, but don't need frills and the full range of any product. The Maxx Value Foods format will also enable us to consider smaller locations that normally would be incompatible with a warehouse store format."
The Maxx Value Foods format offers a focused selection of products with the same high quality offered in the company's other formats. This hybrid format gives the store the look and feel of a conventional store, with the addition of a Maxx Value center aisle and pallet drops that showcase high-value, key items for customers. The bakery/deli and meat/seafood departments will feature pre-packed products. In addition to standard checkout lanes, self-checkout registers will provide added convenience.
"We're looking forward to serving our neighborhood and providing our shoppers with the products they need at the prices they want," said Anthony Martinez, store manager of Maxx Value Foods. "We are confident our shoppers will like what they see and return to our store for the great values and friendly service we will deliver every day."
